DuMore Developing

DuPage CVB successfully engaged a number of leading partners to delve deeper into the area’s economic standing, identify critical issues, determine solutions, and prioritize future initiatives – with the goal to create a sustainable competitive advantage for DuPage County. Fast forward to Fiscal Year 2018, the DCVB is proud to announce the completion of a number of major initiatives and others already underway, with strong numbers showcasing tourism’s contribution to the local and state economy.

GPS: A Tourism Roadmap Initiated in 2016 and officially ratified by the Board of Directors in the spring of 2017, the Tourism Roadmap provides a blueprint for DuPage’s comprehensive tourism industry. Facing increased competition from neighboring markets – Indianapolis, Quad Cities, Cincinnati, and St. Louis – and locally within Chicagoland, the plan underscores the need for greater collaboration, strategic partnerships, fresh branding, and product development in order to capture new market share and grow into the future.

Hundreds of industry professionals and local leaders participated in the strategic planning process through town hall meetings, serving on the advisory board, surveys, and individual interviews. The Tourism Roadmap represents their voices and shared visions for DuPage tourism combined with data-driven strategies and tactics.
