The 100th Cheeky Coffee machine installation has taken place at SPAR Scale Hall in Lancaster. The milestone figure was celebrated with a community event at the store which is owned by Lawrence Hunt & Co. Free coffees were given out to SPAR customers on the day and children queued up in numbers to have their faces painted.

A new housing development in Hoddlesden has been named among a shortlist of sites in England and Wales to win an award for high standards of construction and site management. Communications and marketing manager, Pendleside Hospice

My sector and specialities

Pendleside Hospice is a charity that relies heavily on the generous support of the local community to keep its doors open.

The hospice’s mission is to improve and enhance the quality of care for people with advancing long-term and life-limiting illnesses. Over the past 36 years, Pendleside has been a pillar of palliative care, offering support and compassion to individuals, as well as their families and carers, across Burnley and Pendle.

As communications and marketing manager, my aim is to ensure that Pendleside’s brand is seen and its voice is heard, delivering key messages and content across various platforms.

My biggest achievement so far

One of my proudest achievements so far, and one that continues to grow, has been the refresh of Pendleside’s brand identity.

Working with a local design agency and coming from a creative background, it’s

been exciting to see a renewed energy take shape across all the hospice’s touchpoints. We have so much more planned in the pipeline too, which we can’t wait to share with you all!

My ambitions for the future

My ambition is to continue sharing heartfelt stories, to expand the hospice’s overall marketing efforts and to help us care for more people in our community.

Who I’m looking to do business with

We’re always seeking businesses interested in supporting our cause. Whether through one-off fundraisers, participating in our corporate challenge, sponsorship opportunities or simply helping to raise awareness of our wonderful charity, we’d love to hear from you.

How LBV Helps:

Lancashire Business View provides a fantastic platform for us to share stories of our supporters, updates on our services and news from the hospice.

A former chief baker on the QE2 is using his career experiences to help support more people into work and gain the skills needed to enter the job market. Carl Morris, who worked on board the QE2 for three years, is the Job Centre Plus provision manager at Accrington-based training provider, North Lancs Training Group. Having been with NLTG for more than 21 years, Carl has helped thousands of local people find new jobs, often using his experience and work ethic to encourage others to take up opportunities.

#AmazingAccrington business leaders, local schools and education providers met for a

special meeting with Hyndburn’s new MP Sarah Smith. The event was held at North Lancs Training Group’s facility at the Old Bakery and was a chance to hear about her plans for the future. The event discussed making society more equal, youth employment and strengthening the local economy.

Chorley architect and interior designer Gilling Dod has chosen Rainbow Hub as its charity to support for the coming six months.
