THE HOME OF RED ROSE SET TO BLOOM
There was a real buzz of excitement at the launch event for the Red Rose Awards 2025 at Mytton Fold Hotel.
The awards programme, now in its 15th year, will be held at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on 13 March, and once again will be a celebration of excellence across the county presented by Lancashire Business View.
Richard Slater, chairman of Lancashire Business View, said: “Red Rose Awards has grown and evolved over the years and we’ve a lot planned for our 15th anniversary, but the vision remains the same – we’re here to acknowledge excellence, to promote trade with and within the county, and to provide platforms to celebrate and share success.”
Colin Mustoe, owner of Mytton Fold Hotel, a venue sponsor for the awards, and a former winner at Red Rose Awards with Senator International, called on businesses to get involved.
He said: “Awards are a fantastic way of going forward. The pleasure when you win is fantastic and it makes people in the
organisation think they are really involved in something worthwhile.”
Headline sponsors are long-term partners Forbes Solicitors and Barclays.
Emma Swan, partner and head of commercial at Forbes, said: “The businesses we have in Lancashire are incredibly varied and the awards give an opportunity to showcase them all.

EVAS IGNITE A NIGHT OF CELEBRATION
The Winter Gardens in Blackpool was the setting for an electrifying evening as the 2024 Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAS) celebrated outstanding achievements of women in business.
Now in its 13th year, the EVAS continues to shine a spotlight on women leading change and innovation. This year, more than 150 trailblazing women from diverse industries were honoured for their creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial drive.
Coral Horn, founder of the EVAS, said: “Our mission is to champion women in business, from startups to industry giants. These awards give a voice to the women who are driving change.
Lancashire’s list of winners included Helen
Clayton, managing partner of Blackburn headquartered accountants and business advisors PM+M, who lifted the employer of the year award.
Rachael Foster-Jacob, founder of Chorley business Short But Sweet won the hospitality industry award.
Abigayle Clayton-Grimshaw and Sophie Birtwell of non-alcoholic drinks retailer and wholesaler The House of Clarity, based in Whalley, lifted the One to Watch prize, with Alice Potter of Fylde coast based AJP Social Studio being highly commended.
