BUSINESS LEADS CLIMATE DRIVE

Past experience has shown us that this is not only a successful trade mission for such technology leaders, with serious business resulting from 2023’s trip to Dubai, but also a chance to be real leaders in the conversation to find climate solutions.
It is only by innovating new climate tech, and vitally, how to get that tech financed and into the right places in the world, that we can ever hope to solve the problems the global community faces.
Politicians sadly don’t always have the practical solution focus they need and having business front and centre at COP puts the innovative voice in the room.
“As part of that, we produced a report which showed that an absence of suitable stock was restricting Lancashire’s economic potential, and that tech talent was having to leave the county.
“The message got through, and the county council’s subsequent investment in Fraser House helped to transform a dilapidated factory building into a workspace specifically geared up for growing tech businesses.
“The fact Fuuse is based here is testament to
being based at Fraser House, 65 per cent said they had collaborated with other members in the process.
Financial education company Munny is one such company. Andy Lang, Munny’s founder and managing director, said: “There’s an incredibly supportive peer-to-peer culture throughout the building, and members really want each other to do well. My business has definitely grown because of that spirit of

the quality of the facilities, and when it came to the launch of Lancashire’s Innovation Plan last year the Innovation Board all agreed it had to be at Fraser House.”
Since day one, Fraser House has focused on building a community of businesses which support each other – and can work together – to boost innovation and drive growth.
A recent survey of members highlights this strategy is working. Of the 67 per cent who had successfully scaled their businesses since
partnership. In fact, I’d go as far to say that Munny only exists because of Fraser House and its community.”
Another Fraser House member is Dr Zoe Detko who runs the sustainability consultancy Ardea Eco-Innovation.
One of Lancashire Business View’s ‘Rising Stars’ of 2024, Zoe said: “I had just started my company when I joined Fraser House and support from other businesses really helped me get established.”
