Relatives of those killed during the anti-government protests in Juliaca

Families of people killed or seriously injured during police repression of protests in the city of Juliaca in 2023 are seeking justice, accountability and reparations, amid stalled investigations and persistent discrimination against marginalised communities.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Demand transparent, prompt and impartial investigations into the deaths and injuries of protesters in Juliaca.

• Call for criminal accountability of security officials responsible for abuses.

• Urge the Peruvian government to provide full reparations and medical support to the families.

• Insist on police reforms to prevent excessive use of force in future protests.
