Lives, Together

powder-coated aluminum, and has adjustable louvers that can rotate up to 170 degrees, allowing precise control over sunlight and ventilation. Te pergola also has integrated lighting and fans, and retractable side screens. Te centerpiece of the space is a gas-powered fire table to allow for use more of the year. In addition, a gas-fired cooking grill allows for small events to be held at this location.

Rebekah Johnsen, Director of Residential Living, is excited to see this come together. "Te pergola and its amenities are a welcome addition. Te provision of shade and shelter from rain will allow us greater flexibility as we host events designed for resident engagement. We also hope to see residents and their guests independently enjoying this area to foster our guiding value of community."

Te pergola and other additions to Crossing Green are the first finished components of the Roots & Blooms capital campaign. Director of Advancement, Amanda Hickle, is grateful to all who have contributed to the effort so far. “We are pleased this campaign will give residents more spaces to live with purpose and do the things they enjoy.” New community gardens and the B.A.R.N. (Building for Artistry and Recreation with Neighbors) are also being funded through the Roots & Blooms campaign.
