Terry says, “It was the gentle prodding and encouragement from Leone and Christy (Christy Carpenter, Eden West Center Manager), that made me comfortable to go forward and share these topics with the folks at Landis Homes and Eden West. I wasn’t sure the world was ready for a one-legged paralyzed storyteller but they showed me it was!


“Terry really encourages people to think about the value a particular item has to them,” says Leone. “It may be invaluable to them because of memories.”


Prior to attending Landis Adult Day Services, Terry describes his mundane days at home following the accident. “If you’re alive without a purpose, that’s not much of a life,” he says. “Eventually your mindset will affect your health. I could see that happening.”


Terry now feels like he has a renewed sense of purpose as he builds meaningful relationships with those around him. “Together – no matter what level you’re at – you can make a difference in someone’s life,” he says.
