TPA opens a new depot in Swindon

TPA expands its depot network with a new purpose-built facility in Swindon

Specialist temporary access solutions provider TPA (part of Vp plc) is expanding its UK depot network with the opening of a new purpose-built facility in Purton, Swindon.

Close to the M4, the new two-acre site, which opened at the end of May, stocks the full range of TPA’s temporary roadway and rail access equipment.

The new site will further strengthen the company’s network of depots by providing customers in Southern England and South Wales with an even faster response to their temporary access equipment requirements.

The increased spread of depots enables TPA to reduce the average distance to customer sites by 40%, providing a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.

This new development has involved substantial investment by TPA and will include a purpose-built, closed-loop equipment wash system. Designed to recycle the wastewater through a series of sumps and a final filtration system, it will enhance efficiency and best practice and significantly reduce water consumption,

David Walkden, TPA’s Managing Director, said: “Opening this depot is part of our long-term growth plan. Providing

additional operational capacity ensures we can provide more customers with the highest levels of service and enables us to reduce the carbon impact of our operations.”
