Supervalu/Centra Crowned L&D Organisation of the Year 2019
At the 21st renewal of the IITD National Training Awards presented at Killashee Hotel, Naas, sponsored by Harvest Resources, the Musgrave-operated retailer SuperValu/Centra walked away with the top award at the 2019 gala night.
IITD Awards in Killashee House March 29th 2019, were SuperValu Centra, winners of L&D Organisation of the Year and OverallWinners on the night.
SuperValu & Centra scooped the top prize at the IITD National Training Awards on Friday night with their ‘Growing Good Business Initiative’ which proved to be ‘an exceptional submission’ according to the judges.
What shone through for the judges was the strength of the strategic relationship between Learning and Development activities and business performance.
The judges commented: “This is an exceptional organisation which demonstrates real commercial awareness driving all activity in the L&D space. It presents compelling evidence of return on the L&D investment. The passion and dedication of the L&D teamcame across particularly strongly in the submission and presentation. Amost worthy recipient.
“The organisation’s L&D function works with all stakeholders in adapting their interventions tomeet the needs of the business - the remarkable breath of their nationwide activities touching 28,000 employees across the organisation.”
