Serengeti Balloon Safaris operates hot air balloon excursions every morning above the famous Serengeti National Park and its wider ecosystem in Tanzania. The company flies in Central Serengeti


(Seronera) throughout the year, Western Serengeti (Kirawira) from May to October, North Serengeti (Kogatende) from June to November and the Ndutu Area from December to March. These seasonal locations are timed to coincide with the migration of the wildebeest, a natural wonder of the wildlife world and a must- see for wildlife enthusiasts. Guests will be collected from their camp or lodge


early in the morning before sunrise and driven through the dark, enjoying the serenity of the pre-dawn bush as well as the occasional nocturnal wildlife sighting along the way, to reach the launch site by 6am. This where they’ll meet their pilot and fellow passengers (guests share a basket of up to 16 passengers), receive a thorough safety briefing, don their safety belts and finally climb into the basket for their flight.


Guests will take off just before sunrise and be


able to enjoy the wonder of floating above one of the most famous national parks in the world. Visitors will drift gently over the plains of Serengeti for about an hour, taking in animals, birds and the amazing scenery from this unique perspective, alternately dipping low and ascending to reach favourable wind directions. Upon landing, the ground crew will meet


guests with a glass of champagne or fruit juice, as is the tradition with hot air ballooning. However, the experience doesn’t end there: guests will be escorted to a table set in the shade of an acacia tree, where they’ll be served a sumptuous breakfast. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are all available. After breakfast, guests are returned to a prearranged meet-up with their safari guide, to continue with their game drives and other morning activities.
