Emirates Orders 65 Additional Boeing 777X Aircraft at Dubai Airshow 2025


EMIRATES has announced orders for 65 additional Boeing 777-9 aircraft, powered by GE 9X engines, worth US$ 38 billion at list prices. This takes the airline’s total order book with Boeing to 315 widebody aircraft, comprising 270 Boeing 777Xs, 10 Boeing 777 freighters, and 35 Boeing 787s; and its orderbook with GE Aerospace for GE9X engines to a total of 540 units including the 130 additional units signed.

JAPANESE carrier, All Nippon Airways (ANA), is offering its UK and European passengers free domestic flights across its regional network in Japan. This fare will be available from 24 November 2025 to 31 January 2026 as part of a joint campaign between ANA and the Japan National Tourism Organisation


(JNTO). The initiative includes a Stopover


& Add-on Free Fare which enables customers and trade partners to build bespoke, multi-stop itineraries, without charging extra for Economy Class stopovers.


All Economy fare bookings made between 24 November 2025 and 31 January 2026 are eligible, and up to two ANA domestic flights within Japan will be free of charge.


Hamburg Approves Plans For New World-Class Opera House on Waterfront


HAMBURG is set to further strengthen its reputation as a cultural metropolis in the coming years with the building of a new world-class opera house directly on the waterfront in HafenCity.


The architecturally striking building is designed not only as a venue for outstanding artistic performance, but also as an open, welcoming space for both residents and visitors.


An independent jury – comprising


representatives of the City of Hamburg, the Kühne Foundation and external experts – has unanimously selected the winning design by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). Over the next two years, the design will be further developed in close cooperation with


the City of Hamburg, the foundation and the Hamburg State Opera as the future main user. Upon completion of this extended planning phase and a robust cost assessment, the Kühne-Foundation will decide on whether to proceed with the project.
