14 | UPDATES VIP: Very Important Pal! Jet2.com Offers Young Flyers

a Passport for Their Teddies Jet2.com has been making its youngest customers ‘bear-y’ excited to fly with the leisure airline, after introducing teddy bear passports for children flying with their furry friends. The teddy bear passports were introduced for Summer 23 and are now available to all children (and adults!) flying with their teddies from any of the airline’s ten UK bases. Jet2.com’s Airport Customer Helpers have been handing out branded passports especially for teddies at check-in, with the

new initiative extremely popular.

After receiving a teddy bear passport, holidaymakers can then give their teddy’s passport to Cabin Crew when boarding. As well as being a fun start to the holiday, parents have reported that it has helped their children feel a sense of independence and given them some understanding about the process of travelling overseas from a young age.

In addition to introducing the teddy bear passports, Jet2.com has also been handing out VIP stickers and personalised birthday

cards for Jet2.com

and Jet2holidays customers celebrating their birthday on

proving

board. Adults have not missed out on all the fun, as Jet2. com’s UK bases have been fully equipped with selfie stands, peep boards and props at check-in, enabling customers to kick off their Summer 23 holidays with a memorable photo opportunity. Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “This Summer is our busiest flying programme ever, however we have continued to put customer service

at

the heart of everything we do and deliver our famously welcoming service. As a family friendly airline, we wanted to introduce initiatives such as teddy bear passports to deliver an even greater customer experience and ensure customers have a memorable journey when travelling with us.

Since

introducing the teddy bear passports, the initiative has proved extremely popular, with thousands of children’s teddies having flown with us. We are always looking at ways to enhance the overall customer experience when travelling with us, and this is another example of how we are doing just that.”

According to reports, EU officials have highlighted that until the EES is fully operational, the implementation of the ETIAS Visa Scheme cannot go ahead.

Iberostar Bahia de Palma Set to Become The World’s First Hotel to Consume Green Hydrogen

IBEROSTAR Group struck a deal with the end-to-end energy infrastructure trailblazer Redexis, making inroads into the commitment to a worldwide pioneering milestone with the first installation of a green hydrogen-based cogeneration fuel cell at the Iberostar Bahía de Palma hotel (Mallorca, Spain). Redexis will install the fuel cell, which is capable of consuming at least 10 tonnes of renewable hydrogen annually to produce up to 50 kW of power, which will supply over 70% of the hotel’s thermal energy, thus reducing dependence on other fossil fuels and thus, reducing emissions.

easyJet Welcomes Career Changers On Board

AN opera singer, a former chef and an ex-radio presenter are the stars of a new easyJet cabin crew recruitment campaign, which aims to tackle stereotypes about the profession. The airline is looking to recruit over 1,000 new cabin crew this year with career changers among those being encouraged to apply. The campaign highlights that life experience and transferable skills, such as customer service, communication, teamwork and people management, make many ideal candidates for the role. A former dental nurse, optician and Paris police officer also feature in the campaign.

The complex will also harness this technology to draw some of its electricity straight from the fuel cell. All Iberostar hotels in Spain already consume renewable-sourced electricity certified with a renewable energy guarantee of origin, meaning that 100% of the electricity powering this hotel complex is totally sustainable without a single CO2 footprint. “We are looking at a landmark worldwide milestone, one contributing efficient and advanced decarbonisation solutions to tourism, which is a key sector for the Spanish economy. The Iberostar Group has been fully committed to sustainability through innovative solutions for its hotels”
