Aristo-Cast Provides Bicycle Manufacturer With Flexible, Light Weigh Alternative To Fabrication
Magnesium Racing Bike Node Bicycle companies are
always looking to simplify reduce weight and of course they would also like to ultimately reduce cost! Aristo-Cast was able to satisfy their customer’s request in all the above-mentioned areas. With the quantities being relatively low for this special component, the foundry eliminated the need for hard tooling by producing this as a 3D printed pattern utilizing their in- house Voxeljet VX1000 printer. With no up-front tooling costs, the patterns can be printed in mid-range quantities and perform design changes upon customer request with relative ease, thus providing the customer with the freedom to order custom component at any time to satisfy end-user needs. Also, being one of the very few investment casting sources able to cast magnesium, Aristo-Cast can offer an extremely light weight alloy to help in the overall weight of the bicycle, which in turn helps reduce the amount of energy exerted, allowing the competitor to achieve better results.
