Drinking Vessel Entry Form This casting contest is open to all North American universities. To enter, complete this form, write a brief history addressing the origins of your vessel type (<500 words) and submit it to the ICI by July 31, 2024.


CONTEST RULES


1. The vessel must be investment cast. 2. Vessel must be designed to hold either ½ liter or 1 liter of beverage. 3. Design and construction details must be documented. a. Inspiration for design b. Target volume c. Actual volume achieved (integrally cast volume markers are permissible) d. Must fit in a 12 inch box e. Method of pattern and shell manufacture employed f. Alloy type g. Post cast operations h. Weight of finished product


4. Students are encouraged to collaborate with industry partners. a. Industry partners are to be identified; detailing support provided b. Industry partners must be affiliated with either the ICI or SFSA


5. Vessels will be judged on the following basis: a. Aesthetics b. Functionality c. Comfort d. Creativity


6. Contest entry forms must be submitted to the ICI no later than July 31, 2024. 7. Finished castings may either be hand carried or shipped to the event. Shipping details to be provided at a later date.
