Industry News Ransom & Randolph Announces Expansion of Maumee Production Facility
Ransom & Randolph (R&R) recently announced the expansion of its Maumee, Ohio - Illinois Avenue production facility to accommodate the company’s continued growth. Residing in Northwest Ohio for over 150 years, Ransom & Randolph manufactures innovative products for industrial foundries, dental labs, art casters, and jewelry manufacturers. R&R moved from downtown Toledo into the Illinois Avenue, Maumee, Ohio facility in 1954. This building houses manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, quality testing laboratories, and several offices. Products made at the Maumee production facility are shipped to over 50 countries worldwide.
Between the rapidly growing demand of innovative products such as ready-to-use slurries and engineered refractories in the investment casting industry and R&R’s strategic acquisitions over the past several years, including the former Kerr solid mold and jewelry investments and select Dentsply Sirona dental investments, R&R has found the need for increased capacity to meet customer demand. To maximize production and distribution capabilities, R&R is expanding the Illinois Avenue production facility by
50%. This will be the fourth major renovation of the facility in 70 years. The expansion project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. “We are excited to see this project come to life. Expanding the Maumee facility allows us to grow our product offerings while we continue to provide industry leading customer service and order fulfillment to our customers,” says Daniel Nixon, President.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the current production facility located at 520 Illinois Avenue, Maumee, OH 43537.
