1. The wax room has historically been considered a low- pay training-intensive department.


a. It is hard to find talented individuals who have the aptitude to learn the skills required and then remain satisfied doing these tasks as a career.


b. At MPI we have the same challenge in our pattern injection and pattern assembly business where we support our customers by providing world class patterns and assemblies.


2. Through automation MPI has taken a low pay, training intensive position and made it a low skill high value added position.


3. At MPI our entry level employees can add value on day 1. This has many benefits. a. It increased our team members’ engagement from day one.


b. We can train them and develop them on MPI culture and values while evaluating them for aptitude and attitude and providing a clear growth path for them to develop a career at MPI.


4. This allows MPI to elevate current employees from within, after we already know them and want to retain them. This results in long-term savings in both hiring costs and training costs.


5. MPI onboarding starts in the wax room a. Day one new employee is making perfect assemblies and out preforming the most talented assembly people.


b. We have reduced the time and cost to evaluate a new employee for attitude, aptitude and fit within MPI.
