reseller in North America and has over 1,000 of their printers in the field. We also represent Mimaki for 3D color printing, Roboze for high end material FDM 3D printing, Ultimaker for lower end FDM printing, and PostProcess Technologies for an automated wax support removal system. Foundries are adopting additive manufacturing solutions to address growing industry pressures that range from digitalization and the need for faster, more complex geometry patterns and molds to foundry labor shortages. In the age of the digital foundry, these solutions offer streamlined manufacturing workflows with higher degrees of automation, improved operational efficiency, as well as significant time and cost savings. The key is to overcome the geometry and time constraints common with conventional machined molds for wax pattern injection, and replace it with a fast, tool- less process that opens the door to greater design freedom while improving product performance. Digital processes and additive manufacturing technologies are poised to deliver massive time and cost savings. “CADBLU has decades of expertise in the investment

casting industry, we understand the challenges in the casting process and where to use AM for a foundry to be successful and meet their customer's demanding needs” Eric Rodriguez, EVP of CADBLU. CADBLU’s recent product introduction is the DEMI 430

from PostProcess Technologies for wax support removal for 3D printed MJP wax patterns.

Support removal for 3D printed

wax has historically been dangerous and inefficient, requiring processing with multi-step IPA baths. Safety concerns are associated with this form of support removal since IPA is a flammable and toxic chemical that can be hazardous if not handled properly, and its low longevity poses environmental concerns. Due to the fragile nature and high breakage rate of 3D-printed wax parts, highly trained technicians are required, which forces overall low productivity. These challenges can significantly slow down the overall 3D printing process and result in decreased efficiency and productivity. The DEMI 430 is the solution to address all of those issues!
