C&L AVIATION GROUP COMPLETES
TEARDOWN OF ATR 42 AIRCRAFT C&L Aerospace, a C&L Aviation Group company, has purchased an ATR 42-320 which is currently being disassembled to make parts available for sale or exchange around the globe. This is the seventh recent ATR purchase for teardown made by C&L. Parts from this aircraft (MSN 0284) will join the more than 132,000 other ATR line items in C&L’s strategically located warehouses across the globe. Notable highlights from this teardown include propellers, wheels, brakes, ATR 42 flight controls and leading edges. These items will shortly be for lease, exchange or sale. “C&L has been pushing hard and making large
investments in the ATR business for a few years now,” says Warrick Hood, senior vice president at C&L Aerospace. “We support operators all over the globe, from radome to tailcone, covering a wide portfolio of rotables, consumables, expendables and insurables.” C&L has employed Warrick Hood to oversee the ATR
program. Like all of C&L’s inventory, these parts will be
thoroughly inspected and processed through C&L’s repair/ overhaul department before going through a detailed cataloging process that makes purchases faster, easier and more transparent for the customer. Each part, along with its documentation, is photographed and barcoded into an electronic location system, which allows it to be sent as a viewable link on all customer quotes.

The textbook, originally written in 2012 by Tom Inman,
serves a very important role within the avionics series. However, as technology progressed, portions of the book slowly became more out of date. Mr. Inman realized this and took action. With Avotek helping out, Mr. Inman updated the textbook to be the most current and accurate it could be.
Updates for the second edition include the latest in radio communication theory and practice, the latest in aviation dependent navigation systems (specifically GBAS and GLS), added new terminology, illustrations and photos, index terms, glossary definitions, and more. Outdated material was replaced with what is most current. Avionics: Beyond the AET second edition can be
purchased on the Avotek website or over the phone for $54.95. Avotek offers the textbook in three formats: a downloadable PDF, a web-based interactive eBook, and paperback. For more information, visit
