NEWS GREENPOINT DELIVERS CRYSTAL

AIRCRUISES VIP 777-200LR Greenpoint Technologies announces it has redelivered Crystal AirCruises’ VIP 777-200LR interior ahead of schedule. Crystal’s CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez, attended the delivery event, receiving the keys to the company’s newest aircraft, Crystal Skye. “Crystal Skye beautifully complements all things Crystal, with its exclusively styled design and custom experience she will offer guests. In all our pursuits, and particularly with Crystal Skye, creative collaboration has been an integral part of success. It has been wonderful to work with the experts at Greenpoint to conceive and create this aircraft’s exquisite interior design, as their team made our visions an astounding reality. As a global luxury traveler myself, I have been privileged to travel aboard some of the world’s finest aircraft, and there is nothing like Crystal Skye around the world,” says Rodriguez. Greenpoint joined efforts with Crystal early in its planning process with close collaboration between the companies’ design teams, resulting in a smooth design process and bringing the vision of the ultimate-luxury travel experience to flight. Bret Neely, executive vice president at Greenpoint

Technologies, says, “Our goal for this program was to create a luxurious interior showcasing the elegant brand Crystal established with their cruise ships, yachts and riverboats. Greenpoint is a company built on teamwork, both internally and externally with our customers. It was amazing to see the combined core team come together to focus on Crystal’s guest experience, resulting in the beautiful and functional interior we see today.” The interior installation began in August 2016 at

Greenpoint’s Moses Lake facility. A chief requirement for Crystal’s 777 included a grand bar and lounge for guests to dine, relax and socialize. The lounge is an expansive room with a center bar to gather around, sofas, custom coved ceilings, dining tables and ample space to stand and stretch. The full-service bar is a focal element with beautiful stone veneer, colored LED lighting and the signature Crystal logo.

The Crystal Exclusive Class™ seat, a bespoke version of Zodiac Aerospace’s Aura seats, are fully reclining and designed for supreme comfort. Greenpoint increased the widths of each seat and arranged the seating area in a staggered 2x2x2 configuration to provide extra-wide aisleways, accommodating guests traveling in pairs. Each seat reclines to a full lie-flat configuration of 70.5 inches, and features customized privacy surrounds, a four-way adjustable headrest and individual storage ottoman to ensure comfortable rest in flight.

52 DOMmagazine.com | aug 2017 PRO STAR AVIATION OBTAINS STC

FOR HONEYWELL DLMU-W Pro Star Aviation, with support from its in-house Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) delegation and in partnership with Honeywell Aerospace, obtains approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for multiple-use supplemental type certificate (STC) ST00383BO for installation of a Honeywell DLMU-W (wireless data LAN management unit) in support of Honeywell Primus EPIC™ avionics systems. ST00383BO provides operators with a backwards- compatible, drop-in replacement solution for existing data management units (DMU) 2 and 3s and data LAN management units (DLMU) with the wireless data loader version, DLMU-W. The new DLMU-Ws primarily act as a data source for data-loading operations of Primus EPIC™ avionics systems, and additionally serve as a source or destination for stored data, such as navigational chart files. Key benefits of the DLMU-W include: connectivity

through a tablet device via Honeywell mobile applications; database loading via MyHDM or IDM; and maintenance downloading via MyMaintainer. These methods of connection make the updating and monitoring of airplane conditions more readily accessible and simpler to interface with while expediting the day-to-day functions of the crew. According to Pro Star Aviation’s director of Business

Development, Jeffrey Shaw, “One of the greatest advantages the DLMU-W interface provides is the ability for operators to utilize Honeywell’s MyMaintainer app to download and analyze maintenance messages, as well as manage aircraft databases. The MyMaintainer app provides a great level of convenience and valuable time-saving benefits during day-to-day operations.”

For additional information, to purchase the STC, or to schedule an installation, call Pro Star’s sales department at (603) 627- 7827.
