MSC Grandiosa MSC Cruises
OVERVIEW: MSC Cruises’ 6,334-capacity flagship is the largest in the line’s fleet. Described by MSC as one of the most environmentally advanced ships at sea, it features advanced systems to minimise its impact.
CABINS: With 13 categories, there’s plenty of choice. There are 60 staterooms for guests with reduced mobility, family ‘cluster cabins’, where up to three rooms can be connected, and MSC Yacht Club.
FOOD AND DRINK: The 10 restaurants and 21 bars showcase a number of firsts, including the 160-cover Il Campo restaurant for Aurea Experience passengers. The expanded L’Atelier Bistrot is designed in the style of a Parisian cafe, complete with Degas paintings.
FACILITIES: The ship boasts the largest shopping mall at sea, as well as two new Cirque du Soleil shows and a virtual amusement park and theatre.
USP: The 93-metre “digital sky” LED screen above the indoor promenade. Images are projected onto the ceiling, with shows screened three times daily.
BOOK IT: A seven-night cruise in the Western Mediterranean, departing June 7 from Genoa, leads in at £1,369 per person, including flights and transfers.
