Sesame Place to open in San Diego in 2021 A second Sesame Place theme park will open in spring 2021, in San Diego. The park, themed on the children’s TV show Sesame Street, will feature rides, water slides, character shows, parades and interactive experiences. It will be located on the site of the current Aquatica San Diego. The other park is in Pennsylvania.

Tui expands at Doncaster Sheffield with extra aircraft
Tui will continue its expansion at Doncaster Sheffield airport, adding a fourth aircraſt to its base to fly summer 2020 services. Two new routes, Fuerteventura
and Heraklion, will join the recently announced services to Cancun, Mexico, and Girona, Spain. Extra services have also
been added to 10 destinations including Ibiza, Lanzarote, Larnaca, Majorca, Reus, Tenerife, Turkey and Zante. Te number of destinations offered by Tui from Doncaster Sheffield will be 31. Robert Hough, the airport’s
chairman, said: “Tui has shown its continued confidence in Doncaster Sheffield by choosing to help serve that demand [leſt by Cook].”

Elegant Resorts unveils its first escorted tours in new brochure

Elegant Resorts has brought out its third and final brochure of this year aſter a four-year gap. Te operator has decided to return to an annual
collection of brochures as it looks to work more closely with the trade. In recent years, it has only produced brochures on an ad hoc basis. It has also moved away from destination brochures
to themed product around the holiday experience. Te new Journeys + Experiences brochure for 2020 includes bespoke private and escorted tours and cruises. It features escorted tours for the first time and introduces East Africa, Russia and South America. In March, Elegant launched a Beach and Beyond
brochure and in May it produced a Families programme. Managing director Lisa Fitzell said: “Tis shows our commitment to the trade. We spent a lot of time talking
Tui introduces three river cruises next spring in Benelux and Germany
Tui is offering three river cruise packages, all for under £1,500, for sailings in April and May 2020. A seven- night Beautiful Benelux cruise on Tui Isla on April 12 costs from £1,200; a seven-night Rhine Gems sailing on Tui Maya on May 10 costs £1,350; while a seven-night Marvels of the Main cruise on Tui Maya on April 19 is priced from £1,250. to offer its expert-led tours in the programme. “It’s a great brand fit for us,” added Fitzell. Te product range is split into private tours; trekking
and adventures; tours with an expert; explore by rail trips; and expedition and luxury cruises. Itineraries range from searching for snow leopards
in the Himalayan valley to Russia by luxury rail on the Trans-Siberian Railway and spoting polar bears, walruses, whales and seals in the Arctic Islands.
