If the government wants airlines and tour operators to survive, it will need to introduce a scheme to guarantee refunds for cancellations if it wants anyone to book a trip in the foreseeable future. It seems that Jet2 has made the sensible and robust decision to go for quality rather than quantity. It now seems to be following the Waitrose model of retailing rather than Lidl or Asda. Certainly Jet2holidays’ prices for summer 2021 have increased by between 10% to 20% compared with the same holiday for the same period this year. Speakthetruth
