Emirates unveils new Partners Portal tool

Emirates has launched an online ‘gateway’ for trade partners. The Emirates Partners Portal is tailored for individual companies and offers technical support and self-service tools, and features built-in automation for some business processes. It has been designed to Iata’s New Distribution Capability standards.


BA to start Gatwick flights to Montego Bay from October

British Airways is to launch a service to Montego Bay, Jamaica, with a Boeing 777 departing Gatwick on Tuesdays and Saturdays from October 13. Fares are now on sale, with

prices from £427 return. The airline has also resumed

flights to Barbados; Kingston, Jamaica; and Saint Lucia; and resumes flights to Antigua from August 1. Diane Corrie, BA’s commercial

manager for the Caribbean, said: “We’re excited to be extending our network once again between Gatwick and the Caribbean with the start of this new flight to Montego Bay in October.” Colin Pegler, chairman of the

Caribbean Tourism Organisation’s UK & Europe chapter, said the news was greatly encouraging. He said: “It is vital to the

region, our tour operator, hotel and destination partners that the resumption of airlift is quick and comprehensive.” The Montego Bay service will

Sandals Resorts International plans to open its first property in St Vincent, its eighth country in the Caribbean. The all-inclusive operator will open its fourth Beaches

Resorts property on the former site of Buccament Bay Spa & Resort, which has been shuttered since 2016. Beaches Resorts’ three existing properties are in

Jamaica and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Butch Stewart, Sandals’ founder and chairman, said

Royal Caribbean extends its policy

on cancellations to September 30 Royal Caribbean Group has extended its Cruise with Confidence cancellation policy to cover all new bookings made up to September 30, 2020, for sailings until April 2022 on Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara. Guests can cancel up to 48 hours prior to sailing and receive a full credit for a future cruise. For Silversea Cruises, the policy covers sailings until April 30, 2021.
