New coach operator Tartan Travel targets agents in Scotland

A start-up coach operator is looking to work with agents in Scotland. Tartan Travel has been set

up by six former Caledonian Travel staff, including ex-general manager Chris Bond. The operator, which started

trading at the end of June and has its first departure on August 3, is offering short breaks in the UK and Ireland from across Scotland including Glasgow, Hamilton, Paisley, Edinburgh and Dundee. The range of departures

represents an expansion of the former Caledonian Travel offering, which did not feature the east coast of Scotland. Bond said: “We have been

overwhelmed by the initial response and demand. “I’m keen to develop

relationships with agents, particularly on the east coast. “I fully appreciate the benefits

of a strong working relationship with agents and am keen for agents to contact us to work together on local joining points.” tartantravel.com
