Exoticca targets UK sales with dedicated call centre team

Exoticca has reported an “encouraging start” to UK trade sales as it sets up a dedicated call centre team to take bookings from British agents. The premium mainstream


touring specialist announced plans to work with the trade earlier this year with the appointment of experienced industry figure Neil Sealy as UK and Ireland managing director. The operator now has


commercial agreements with most consortia and has doubled the size of its trade team in its Barcelona head office from 10 to 20, including several dedicated to the UK market. Its trade marketing team has


doubled from two to four. Sealy said: “We now have a


dedicated team for UK agents and we have trained some of those who work with agents in the US

so they can move across to talk to UK agents if needed.” Most agent business, which


accounts for 12% of the operator’s sales, comes from Canada and the US. But Sealy anticipates a sharp rise in UK bookings after an on-the- road sales team is set up later this year and thanks to improvements to Exoticca’s agent web portal. Most agents are expected to


book via the portal, with Exoticca’s call centre handling bookings that cannot be made online. “We have been up and running


with the UK trade since the start of September so bookings are starting to build up,” Sealy said. “We’ve had good feedback


about our system – that it’s easy to use, and agents love the prices. The number of agents registering on the portal is growing every day.” A loyalty scheme and fam trips

A bustling waterfront on miles of coastline is just the start of a trip to Halifax, only one flight away


Walking along Halifax’s four-kilometre boardwalk is a real treat for the senses, passing delicious fresh seafood being served at restaurants, buzzing bars offering local beers on tap and pretty boutiques. Less than an hour’s drive away is the beautiful Peggy’s Cove, with its iconic lighthouse atop the rugged rocks. There are plenty of quaint villages along the coast, and lush green national parks on the way to the Cabot Trail, making Halifax an excellent gateway to a rural Nova Scotian adventure.
