First Class Holidays adds new tours and self-drives in Canada
Samantha Mayling
Long-haul specialist First Class Holidays has 14 new self-drives and four new wildlife tours in its latest 198-page Canada & Alaska brochure. The programme features 117
tours and 134 hotels and resorts, including five new wilderness and bear-viewing lodges, plus four new luxury and expedition cruise options.
One new itinerary is the 16-day
Rainforest to Rockies tour, from £3,159. It includes flights from Heathrow on May 4 and car hire. The operator has also partnered
with Air Transat to give agents the chance to win a pair of return flights to Canada in a ‘Golden Ticket’ incentive. To enter, agents need to request a print brochure by emailing
sales@fcholidays.com or download a copy. Managing director
Daniel Gathercole

said the operator wanted the cover to look different, so used an image painted by artist Joe Galindo, based near First Class Holidays’ head office in Manchester. Lorna Curry, North America
product manager, said: “Our new and inspirational design will make planning Canada even easier.” First Class Holidays is also
guaranteeing 2025 prices, amid “huge demand” for travel next year across its long-haul portfolio. Gathercole said: “It was the right decision to start guaranteeing prices for 2025. I don’t believe agents can give clients a quote without the price being fixed. It’s a calculated risk for us, but the right thing to do. “With Canada 2024 gh demand

It is never too late to say Happy New Year – and we wish you all the very best in 2024!
I was honoured recently that Seabourn was able to sponsor the Unsung Hero Award at the Travel Weekly Globes. The entries are always amazing, and the candidates filled me with a sense of humility and pride that our industry is such a caring one. There are always industry colleagues raising money for various charities, and at Seabourn, we have been involved in two charity events already this month…always an emotional honour.
When we asked our Seabourn guests and team members why they loved travelling with or working for Seabourn, a huge number said they felt that Seabourn was like a family and the brand was a ‘home away from home’. This made me reflect on the many close friends I have in travel. We are certainly a unique industry and so focused on enabling guests to have amazing holidays.
The emotional contact we have with our guests is
paramount for ensuring that retention remains part of our business, and our loyalty programme reflects the focus that we give to our loyal guests. I really believe in referrals for growing businesses …and am sure many of you use this very effective means of marketing.
We are very proud to have launched our new
Mediterranean dining option ‘Solis’ on Seabourn Quest on January 20 – the first in our rollout this spring over four ocean ships. Every dish and drink at Solis has been carefully created to reflect inspirations from the places we visit, while the design and ambience of the dining room create the perfect Mediterranean atmosphere – yet another reason for your clients to sail on Seabourn this year!
