Contiki has ‘reimagined’ its Australia and New Zealand programme by reducing the size of groups and expanding the range of internal flights and experiences available.

The 18-35s operator has six new

trips in the South Pacific and 10 ‘improved’ itineraries in Australia. The range of Contiki’s Special

Stays has been expanded, with new options including an eco-camp in Noosa Everglades, Queensland, and sleeping in Kakadu National Park. In New Zealand, an overnight

cruise on Milford Sound has been added as part of the new Kiwi Bucket List trip. There are eight new inclusions

and ‘free time add-ons’ to various itineraries, such as kayaking in Milford Sound, an afternoon on Bondi Beach’s ‘grassy knoll’ and surfing in Byron Bay. Group sizes on Australia tours have been limited to 30 people

together with UK buyers, will feature its first ‘agent day’ when it takes place from June 10-12, 2019, in a new venue, at Chelsea Football Club. Lata chairman Colin Stewart said: “The move

is part of our strategy to continue to develop the show. Hosting Ela at such a flagship venue will offer attendees a range of accommodation, extending networking opportunities and other new experiences.” Duncan Horton, chief executive of Jacobs Media Group,

said: “We are excited to be working with Lata to deliver an event that will educate and inspire the UK trade.”
