1. Jet2 apprentices celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, which included participation in the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair at the First Direct Arena – an event with an attendance of more than 11,000. 2. Guests have fun with props at the photo booth during Carnival UK’s awards. More than 200 attended the UK Cruise Awards at The Pelligon in Canary Wharf, hosted by BBC Radio 2 DJ Sara Cox. 3. House of Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle officially opens Hays Travel’s relocated store in Chorley, Lancashire. Branch manager Carrie Alger asked the town’s MP to perform the honours as the shop moved into larger premises in Market Walk. 4. World Travel Holdings UK managing director Alison Earnshaw presents a £5,000 cheque to Derian House Children’s Hospice. The cruise specialist agency raised more than £11,700 for the hospice in 2024 through a combination of the Three Peaks Challenge, events and customer donations at the time of booking.
