I can’t believe that we are nearly at the end of a very busy February. I’ve just returned from a trip to our head office in Seattle where I was able to collaborate with the senior teams from Seabourn and Holland America, including both our presidents.
We received lots of praise as Seabourn UK is doing
so well so thank you all for that. I also travelled to South Africa to meet with many of our travel partners there. Both trips were very different but very worthwhile.
However, this meant I sadly missed the UK Cruise
Awards, our annual opportunity to collaborate with our Carnival UK sister brands and reward our agent partners. I hear it was an amazing event and of course the UK Seabourn team was there. I would like to congratulate all our winning and highly commended partners.
On February 12, I was honoured to attend the
Travel Weekly Industry Leaders’ Dinner in London and the launch of the 2025 Travel Weekly Insight Report by Deloitte, with some fascinating insights into consumer behaviour. Much of it good news for our industry.
Collaboration is so important, within our own
internal teams, with our sister brands and with our travel partners, as this is how we continue to learn and grow, adapt to booking trends and overcome any hurdles that may come our way. We even collaborate with our competitors to bring more consumers into the cruise industry, especially through Clia conferences and events.
I’m looking forward to the next few months as we meet more of our partners at these events – and start planning for the Clia conference in Southampton in May!
