SPOTLIGHT CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE

KERRY CANSDALE Travel Counsellors Travel counsellor Kerry Cansdale praised Carnival Cruise Line for launching the agent-focused programme. She said: “I am really

excited that Carnival actually wants to listen to agents,

take their ideas on board and hopefully make them happen.” Baillie hailed the “fabulous creativity” Kerry showed in her application, which he described as “perfect”. Kerry said she wants to make a difference

to both Carnival and the travel agent commu- nity and is looking forward to “my ideas being listened to, working with the other ambassa- dors, building up a fantastic relationship with Carnival and, of course, going on the trips”.

AARON FLETCHER Travel Solutions Aaron Fletcher felt becoming a Carnival Fun Ambassador would enable him to champion the brand within the travel trade in Northern Ireland. He said: “Cruise is my

passion and anything to become more involved in the industry is fantastic. Carnival, in our region, are an unknown entity.” Aaron hopes to use the role to help agents build their knowledge and confidence of the Carnival brand. Baillie said: “Aaron showed in his application how he wants to implement new ideas to help the brand grow, which is the exact attitude a Fun Ambassador requires.”

ANDREW CAWLEY Virgin Holidays Andrew Cawley’s love of the Carnival product

and a desire to increase his knowledge of the line’s ships and destinations spurred him to apply.

He said: “I am really looking

forward to visiting Carnival HQ to see how everything works and the operational side of things – plus another ship visit.” Baillie said Andrew’s

experience made him the “perfect” Fun Ambassador. “He will be able to help implement new ideas into the Carnival brand,” he added.

CLAIRE TITCOMBE Thomas Cook Claire Titcombe believes there is no better way to learn

about the Carnival brand than by becoming a Fun Ambassador. She said: “I want to learn

more about a cruise line that I hear people rave about.” The Cook agent said she

experienced warmth and passion from the other seven Fun Ambassadors after meeting them in London and picked out the trip to Miami to experience a Carnival ship first-hand as the experience she is most excited about in the year ahead.
