Heritage Site known as ‘the Pompeii of the Americas’. It also features volcanic landscapes and Pacific beaches. The seven-night trip leads in at
£2,999, including flights. The nine-night Highlights
of Honduras trip takes in the Maya ruins of Copán, a Unesco World Heritage Site, plus the Bay
Islands, colonial towns and Pico Bonito National Park. The nine-night holiday costs
from £4,199 including flights. Senior product executive Sarah
Johnson said: “These destinations showcase a remarkable mix of culture, history and natural beauty that we know our clients will love.”

along with 45 “refreshed” itineraries worldwide. The small-group trips last from four to six days and most are escorted by a local leader. Twenty-seven independent breaks for travellers who
prefer a self-guided experience without a local leader takes the full range to 82. The programme features three new short breaks in
Mexico: the four-day Mexico City Short Break, which starts at £825; the five-day Hiking in Mexico: Oaxaca’s Indigenous Highlands, leading in at £945; and the four-day Tulum to Chichen Itza Short Break, which costs from £1,160.
The two new four-day options in Guatemala are the
Tikal Guatemala and Belize Short Break (from £1,205) and Acatengo Volcano Hike & Antigua Short Break (from £770). Intrepid has also introduced the four-day Costa Rica
Short Break: La Fortuna, which costs from £1,195. In Europe, four-day trips have been added in Italy, the
Czech Republic and Austria, and a five-day tour in France. All prices exclude flights. Joanna Reeve, UK and Ireland general manager,
said: “[Customers] can experience all that small-group adventures have to offer without committing to a longer itinerary. “The short breaks are also great for agents to bolt
on for clients doing longer independent trips, as they offer clients the option to have a few days of guided exploration, without the hassle of planning.”
