No-deal Brexit could see mobile phone charges soar
Britons holidaying in the EU will face an immediate return of mobile phone data roaming charges if the UK leaves without a deal on March 29. The issue was spotted by national media in draft Brexit legislation and culture secretary Jeremy Wright confirmed the story in the House of Commons last week. Militants jailed over 2015 Tunisia terror attacks
Four militants have been jailed for life for their roles in the Sousse terror attack in Tunisia that led to the deaths of 38 tourists including 30 British Tui customers at the Riu Imperial Marhaba hotel in June 2015. Five other defendants were given jail terms of up to 16 years last week, while three others were given life sentences for their roles in the Bardo Museum attack in Tunis in March 2015.
Advantage reveals Monty Halls as keynote speaker
TV broadcaster and marine biologist Monty Halls will be the keynote speaker at Advantage Travel Partnership’s Cruise Conference next month. Halls, a former Royal Marines officer who worked for Nelson Mandela, will tell his life story at the event in Southampton on March 3.
On the Beach to launch Classic Online portal
On the Beach is to launch its agent booking portal Classic Online next month. Chief executive Simon Cooper revealed the move during a trading update last week when the company reported a 20% rise in core UK revenue for the four months to January 31. The online travel agent bought Classic Collection Holidays in August 2018 for £20 million.
