Exodus teams up with Aldo Kane for sustainability tours
Exodus Travels has partnered with explorer and TV presenter Aldo Kane to showcase the operator’s sustainability initiatives and adventures. Kane will host events for the
adventure specialist and lead its Atlas Descent tour next March. The eight-day off-road cycling
tour through Morocco’s Anti Atlas Mountains offers clients the chance to meet Berber people and see the walled town of Tiznit and mountain villages of Tiqqi Gorge. The Atlas Descent trip costs
from £1,899 and includes flights, accommodation and more. There are departures in 2022 and 2023,
and Kane will accompany next year’s trip departing on March 6. He has also curated The Aldo
Kane Collection, featuring 12 of his favourite Exodus tours. They include Chimps & Gorillas of Uganda, Kilimanjaro Climb and the Annapurna Circuit. Exodus managing director

Wendy Wu Tours ramps up capacity for Japan amid ‘surge’ in demand
Wendy Wu Tours is adding capacity to all its Japan tours in 2023 and 2024 as it reports holidays selling out “as soon as they go on sale”. The operator is looking to add
about 60 departures to existing Japan tours for spring and autumn 2023 and expects to carry 55% more passengers next year than in 2019. Its flagship tour, Japan Uncovered, will see the biggest capacity growth. The move follows the lifting of
entry restrictions for Japan, with the restoration of visa-free travel from October 11. The operator reported “an
unprecedented surge” in late sales for this autumn to Japan as well as for tours in March and April
2023, with enquiry levels to its call centre and agent website up 170% in September on August. Founder Wendy Wu said
September had been one of the operator’s “busiest months on record for Japan holiday bookings”.
