FRONTLINE ADVERTORIAL

NEPALESE SHOWCASE

The Nepal Tourism Board welcomed travel agents to the Nepalese Embassy in London during WTM last month to celebrate the launch of the Nepal 2020 Campaign. The campaign aims to promote the sounds, sights, tastes and colours of Nepal, from its remotest corners to its urban landscapes. Agents were treated to the best of Nepalese cuisine and enjoyed performances by traditional Nepalese dancers. They also heard talks by Durga Bahadur Subedi, Nepal’s ambassador in the UK; and Yogesh Bhattarai, the country’s minister for culture, tourism and civil aviation. There were also speeches by two mountaineers: Kenton Cool, who has climbed Mount Everest 14 times, and Rebecca Stephens, the first UK woman to climb Everest.
