APC: Airlines must pay

Story: ‘APC could rise to more than £10’ following Thomas Cook collapse Chris Brown We didn’t learn from XL and those [that collapsed] after? The airlines must be made accountable. Why does this bill need to fall on the rest of the industry to pay – again?

Sunvil Holidays @sunvilteam Our 2020 Greece & Cyprus brochure, modelled by our beautiful managing director Chris, is packed with all the destinations and itineraries that make Sunvil great.

Norwegian: I vote for MCO

Story: Norwegian Air plans first low-cost long-haul flights from Heathrow Mark Godden Three weekly flights? Will have to be a leisure route as can’t see a business route working with such low frequency. Would be good to have a direct MCO [Orlando] flight from Heathrow.

The best of your letters, comments and social media this week Jet2holidays: Tui cannot rest with Jet2 snapping at heels

Story: Jet2holidays ‘closing in on Tui’ with Atol expansion plans Thomson, now in the guise of Tui, has seen off many competitors down the years. The one advantage Jet2 has is no bricks and mortar. Tui is quietly running down the unproductive shops and investing more money on the internet and, as they say in business, sweating the assets of its hotels, airlines and shops. You do not get to be top dog without good management, but they cannot rest on their laurels with a clued-up Jet2 snapping at their heels. Patrick Doyle
