Legoland lays first brick for water park at Italy’s Gardaland
Te first brick has been laid for Legoland Water Park at Italy’s Gardaland, which has been confirmed to open in June 2020. Te atraction will be Legoland’s
first water park in Europe and will be aimed at families with children aged two to 12. Aldo Maria Vigevani, chief
executive of Gardaland, said: “Tis is an important day because we are starting to lay the foundations of a project that has been under way for three years, with an estimated investment of €20 million.” Te new atraction will be
located near Peppa Pig Land and Fantasy Kingdom at the park.

Cosmos offers 44 new tours in its Europe 2020 brochure

Cosmos Tours features 44 new tours in its just-released 2020 Europe brochure and will host two fam trips in North America next year. Te new programme features 24 tours under the
Cosmos brand and 20 under its premium Globus brand, bringing the total number of tours to 151 for 2020 Europe. Tours go on sale on September 12. Globus offers first-class escorted tours out of season.
Its new Discover the Eastern Med 11-day tour travels from Dubrovnik to Rome via Montenegro and Albania. Te package is priced from £1,189 and includes buffet breakfast, two dinners and headsets throughout the tour. Te operator will host one US music and one
national park-themed fam trip in April or May next year.
Ajman Tourism to reward top-selling UK agents with £100 each month

Ajman Tourism has partnered with My Booking Rewards to give £100 each month to the agent who makes the most bookings to the destination. The incentive is part of the tourism organisation’s plans to boost awareness in the UK following the opening of its regional office last year. Ian Scott, UK representative for Ajman Tourism, said: “We are committed to driving growth in UK visitation to Ajman and recognise the importance of the travel trade.”
