Funway tips Florida growth as new theme park attractions open


US and Caribbean specialist Funway Holidays expects Florida bookings to continue growing in 2020 thanks to a host of new atractions. Tis month sees the launch of


the operator’s 148-page USA 2020 brochure with a focus on twin- centre and multi-centre holidays. New theme park atractions


include Star Wars: Galaxy Edge, Hagrid’s Magical Creations Motor- bike Adventure and Sesame Street. Malcolm Davies, product


destination manager, said: “Some of our customers are switching away from more expensive long-haul destinations. “Florida is a main destination


for the family market and, even with the pound lower against the dollar, there are still great deals. “Tis year we have seen great


growth for Florida with a 10% increase in bookings and we predict this to continue next year.” Funway’s prices start at £459 for

Canadian Affair reports agent booking values ‘15% higher’

Canadian Affair is puting together a marketing toolkit for agents as it plans to work even more closely with them in its second year of selling through the trade. Te Canadian tailor-made specialist is helping


agents to promote Canada with co-branded posters, videos and other promotional materials. Te operator has also appointed its first trade


marketing executive, Pia Holler, launched a dedicated Facebook page for agents, and plans three fam trips of 10 agents each for 2020. Managing director Chris Hedley said the focus was


on existing partners, before it would move on to those less familiar with selling the destination. He said: “We have more than 2,000 shops signed up now and there are plenty more. Our focus is on our
