Swiss digital can printer announces first UK location NOMOQ has appointed a team for its new UK location in the Midlands

Swiss digital can printer NOMOQ has announced the appointment of its new team and location for its first UK site. With offices in Germany and Switzerland, the printing busi- ness has acquired new office space in Leamington Spa in the West Midlands, and will bring a total of 40 new jobs to the region over the next three years. Andrew Bannister has been appointed as general manager and will lead the UK operation. With more than 30 years in the printing industry, Bannister joins from Cartor Security Printers where he was production director. Bannister will be supported by
Dave Rigby as regional account manager. Rigby previously ran his own gin distillery in Manchester.

ing hard to build the UK team who all share the same passion and vision. Scottish tomato juice brand Tongue in Peat secures six-figure investment boost
Tomato juice brand Tongue in Peat has secured a £350,000 investment from Dundee invest- ment firm Ruby Capital to expand the product globally. Tongue in Peat smoked tomato
juice is hand-crafted by a team of 12 in Inverclyde, west of Glas- gow, and is cold smoked for 12 hours with Islay peat smoke. The brand’s product is stocked in UK hotels including Gleneagles, the Torridon and the Mayfair Town House. Hannah Fisher, who founded
the business during lockdown in 2020, secured seed invest- ment of £100,000 in 2021 from Chris Cosh, former director of Scottish drinks wholesaler Wallaces Express. Cosh also joined the team as its head of commercial, leading its relation- ships with wholesalers. Fisher, who has worked in
the whisky and drinks indus- try for over 15 years, spent the following 20 months trailing the product with her team. The brand achieved three Great Taste
awards this year, which gained them official Great Taste pro- ducer status. Fisher said: “We have been extremely lucky to have investors who not only bring significant
drinks experience to the board but are passionately committed to our success, continually offer- ing hands-on support.” Bruce Casely, chief invest- ment officer for Ruby Capital,
said: “At Ruby we are keen to sup- port emerging business talent and superb products. We think Hannah and the team at Tongue in Peat have both a great product and an exciting future.”
