Openings Apple Butter


The team behind brunch café Apple Butter, Faycal Abdel Khalek and brothers Saleh and Mohammad, have launched their second site in London’s Oxford Circus, four years after their first site in Seven Dials. The latest Apple Butter has broadened


its scope to include an all-day menu for 75 covers, with lunch dishes such as salmon wasabi black rice with crispy crab, edamame beans, cucumber and avocado; small plates such as spicy shrimp lollipop and wagyu beef hummus; and a brunch offering of truffle scrambled egg and shakshuka. In terms of design, the restaurant has a


centrepiece apple tree installation, what is describes as Instagrammable interiors and exposed brick accents.

Farkhod Najmetdinov of brunch café Bobo & Wild has opened Neapolitan pizza parlour Motherdough in London’s Wapping. The 1,087 sq ft restaurant serves a signature dough that is prepared daily by their in-house pizzaiolo.
