Inside Travel Group, parent of InsideJapan and Inside Asia, carried a record 16,000 passengers in 2025, with sales up 22% year on year. InsideJapan launched an overtourism strategy last March – dubbed ‘under-tourism’ – promoting the lesser- visited regions of Yamaguchi, Nagasaki,

Jumeirah releases its first yachting itineraries
Hotel brand Jumeirah has made its “strategic entry” into luxury yachting with a series of itineraries on board superyacht Maltese Falcon. The 88-metre vessel, which has recently undergone an
“extensive refit” following its debut in 2006, features a full-beam master suite and four double cabins, as well as a wellness area with a massage room and fitness studio, an outdoor cinema projected onto one of three large sails, and a rotating sunbed on the flybridge. The superyacht is set to operate a series of 12-person
voyages around the Mediterranean and Caribbean following its inaugural sailing from Antigua last month. Standard itineraries are a week long, although voyages can
be tailored depending on clients’ requests. Maltese Falcon, a Jumeirah Privé Experience, will be the second
offering alongside Jumeirah Thanda Island in the Jumeirah Privé portfolio, which was established as a “curated collection of escapes that combine ultimate privacy and exclusivity with the world-class service and amenities of the brand”.

under-tourism room nights again in 2026.
