Raffles Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to open its first property in Mexico in 2029. Raffles Estera East Cape will be located an hour’s drive from Los Cabos airport. The property will feature 80 rooms and 46 residences, as well as a spa, watersports


centre, multiple outdoor pools, and kids’ and teens’ clubs. There will also be seven dining venues, including signature outposts Raffles Long Bar and Writer’s Bar. Chief executive Omer Acar said: “The announcement of Raffles Estera East Cape,


Raffles’ first resort in North America, is a landmark moment for our beloved brand. East Cape, with its striking beauty, rich culture and tradition of warm hospitality, offers the perfect setting to bring our vision to life.” Raffles also recently announced plans to open its first property in Italy, with a


heritage Lake Como hotel expected to join the portfolio in 2027. In the same year, the brand will open a property in Ranthambore National Park,

Waldorf Astoria is to offer four and six-night sailings on the River Nile from late 2026. Parent company Hilton has partnered with regional specialist Middle East For Nile Cruisers to launch Waldorf Astoria Nile River Experience, a five-deck vessel featuring 29 suites; a fitness centre and spa; food and drink experiences; and a rooftop deck.
