DOMOTEX INTERVIEW
request for a dedicated contact point for architects and planners. Many of our exhibitors want to reach this group more eff ectively. So we created a space where manufacturers can present solutions that specifi cally address architectural and planning needs – from innovative surfaces to acoustic systems and modular interior concepts. A highlight will be the acoustics showcase developed by Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, which introduces forward-looking ideas and practical insights. We are also off ering guided tours for architects, making it even easier to navigate off erings relevant to their work. The Architects Space is also located directly next to This Stage, our
conference programme. That close proximity ensures a continuous fl ow between inspiration, knowledge transfer and concrete product solutions. It’s not a playground – it’s a professional entry point designed to foster high-value interaction.
DW: Another has to be the introduction of the FEP lounge. How signifi cant is that as a future-focused forum? SWC: The FEP Lounge is highly signifi cant because it anchors a core segment of our industry at the very heart of the show. For us, it was truly a matter of the heart to highlight the strength and importance of the European parquet sector in one dedicated place. The FEP Lounge brings together industry leaders, providing them with a central, high-level forum for strategic dialogue on topics such as sustainability, standards and market developments. As we expand DOMOTEX into the broader Home of Flooring and Interior Finishing, it was essential to ensure that the European parquet community
has a visible, strong and clearly identifi able home within the show. In many ways, it symbolises what DOMOTEX stands for: expertise, collaboration and a shared commitment to shaping the future of surfaces and interior spaces.
DW: That’s a lot of change. What we may expect in the future? SWC: DOMOTEX will keep evolving along the path we have now clearly defi ned. Our ambition
is
to strengthen the show’s role as the leading global platform for fl ooring and interior fi nishing. We will further expand curated
areas, develop additional formats, and build more bridges between industry sectors that infl uence how spaces are created and transformed. Our guiding theme, Creating
