UKLA Appoints New President
Simon Brander, Commercial Director of Multisol Limited has been appointed the new President of the United Kingdom Lubricants Association following the AGM held in Leeds in September. He takes over from Nigel Bottom, who has served as President for the past 12 months.
Simon joined Multisol in 1998 and has spent his entire career in the Lubricants industry gaining considerable knowledge and experience as one of the industries key suppliers. He has been a Director of UKLA since 2011.
Married with three children Simon 37, lives in Chester. Simon started his career at Multisol as the Marketing Assistant for the Oil Products business, progressing into Account Manager, UK Sales Manager, UK Business Manager roles before being appointed Commercial Director in January 2014. Simon was part of the Multisol Management Buyout Team in 2008 which was acquired by Brenntag UK Ltd in 2011.
Simon has always taken an active role with UKLA. He participated in the inaugural Certificate in Lubricant Competence training course, organised the Northern Golf Day from 1999 to
2005, as well as attending many
Overseas Technical Visits, of
which he has
fond memories. He also won the UKLA Young Employee of the Year Award in 2004.

Certas Energy appoints new head of national accounts
National fuel and lubricants supplier, Certas Energy, has appointed Franco Moller as its new head of national accounts, as part of its strategic growth plan across key sectors.
Franco brings a wealth of experience in the transport and logistics industry, having previously worked for rail services provider, DB Schenker, where he was responsible for the account management and operations of multiple UK sites.
Based at Certas Energy’s Birchwood office, he will spearhead the national accounts plan focusing on securing new contracts, developing the customer base and further establishing the company as a key player in the industry.
