Sea-Land Chemical Europe Opens Second Warehouse
Expands Distribution Within Netherlands and Northern Europe
In August 2014, Sea-Land Chemical Europe Ltd extended its European operations with the creation of a new warehousing facility in Europort, Rotterdam. The new location, operated in partnership with Broekman Logistics, will facilitate the supply of specialty chemicals into the Industrial Lubricants and Household and Industrial Cleaner sectors across Northern Europe.
The facility will supply product from a number of principals including Italmatch Chemicals. Each of the principals recently fi nalised an extension of their existing arrangements with Sea-Land Chemical Europe to distribute their products in the Netherlands.
President of Sea-Land Chemical Company, Joe Clayton, was enthusiastic about the new operation. “This commitment is part of our strategy to build Sea-Land Chemical Europe as a true pan-European distributor of specialty chemicals to our very well- defi ned markets. We are looking to
replicate the success we have had with our US, Canadian and UK based operations and bring both logistical and technically orientated benefi ts to our customers.”
Business Development Director for Sea- Land Chemical Europe Ltd, Robert Stubbs, highlighted the positioning of this second European facility as a logical decision going forward. “From the Europort location we are well able to satisfy the supply requirements of our growing Northern European customer base while
also allowing the importation of products from both the Americas and Asia. We can now offer the fl exibility and immediacy of our approach in the UK to a wider European audience.”
