NORA Launches
FindARecycler.org
A US website to help responsible recyclers be located by generators of used oil and related materials.
NORA, An Association of Responsible Recyclers (NORA) announced a new service called
FindARecycler.org. The purpose of the site is to maximize the collection of used oil, antifreeze, wastewater and filters by efficiently connecting responsible recyclers with those who generate the materials. NORA regularly receives requests from businesses without an established relationship with a recycler seeking a company to collect their used oil or related material. This website will aid the association in reducing the number of gallons that go uncollected.
A
FindARecycler.org visitor will first identify the state or country where they need material collected. Then, they will identify the material they need recycled. The site will provide a targeted list of companies that are able to provide service with basic contact information. At this time, the site will focus on used oil, anti-freeze, wastewater and filters; however additional liquid categories will be added.
All NORA recycler members will have a free listing for every location they provide service. As an added benefit, all NORA members on
FindARecycler.org will be identified with a NORA logo so users of the site will know which companies are committed to the association’s Guiding Principles.
For recyclers wanting to maximize their exposure and collections, enhanced listings and advertising opportunities are available for a minimal investment. Enhanced listings, that will have priority listing placement, will feature a company logo, tagline, website, email address, fax and a fully customisable profile page with embedded links. Advertising locations are geographic based and available on a first come, first served basis.
“For 30 years, NORA has been working to ensure that every gallon of used oil and related material is collected,” stated NORA’s Executive Director Scott D. Parker. “Millions of gallons go uncollected each year damaging the environment and wasting a valuable resource. This website is part of NORA’s overall commitment to make sure that every gallon is collected and responsibly recycled.”
This site will become the primary portal for companies looking for responsible recyclers. The site will have over twenty targeted domain names pointing to the site. In addition, it is anticipated that major related trade associations will be promoting this website as well as related governmental agencies. Finally, NORA has partnered with a company to ensure the website is utilizing the latest Search Engine Optimization tools.
This site is designed to target significant generators. Small volume generators will be redirected to an external site targeting the do-it-yourself market.
The website is active with many of NORA’s recycling members already listed on the site. The association will be adding listings as the site continues to be developed. The listings are based on collection information provided to NORA by members. Please contact
