Online video is the future of content marketing


Sometimes it’s better to watch and listen to a presentation, rather than read it. Hearing the speaker’s voice and intonation as well as observing built-in animations with the speaker pointing out specific aspects, can help with understanding a new or complex subject, first time. And sometimes, if the topic is particularly intricate, it is even better if you can watch the presentation as many times as you want. Croda Lubricants has this video/webinar resource! Turn to page 14 to read their article as well as watch the webinar. At the end of the article you will be able to find out more on their e-seminars.


With online video becoming more and more a means for people to satisfy their information needs, businesses are starting to include it in their internet marketing strategies.


The success stories of videos that have gone viral are legend. Engage viewers and they will share the video with others. They will spend longer on your website and more time interacting with your brand. Video is a good tool to have in your kit. Be creative, not only with the videos themselves but in the campaign strategy you build around them.

In the past, Lube Magazine has published several videos, the latest was in February 2016 and came from Luberef, a Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company, and their video helped to promote and highlight some important company news.


Whilst on the subject of internet marketing, we’ve just launched the EuropaLub website! Please go to www.europalub.org. Here’s a quick resume on EuropaLub. For over 25 years EuropaLub has collated European Lubricant market statistics, on a non-profit basis. Working with the lubricants industry trade associations in each country, supported by UEIL, EuropaLub has been re-launched with an online service, the European Lubricants Industry Statistics Service (ELISSE).


Sebastian Crawshaw has written an update to keep us informed of the latest developments, which can be found on page 38.


Whilst many are speculating about implications of Brexit, EuropaLub provides calm, unhyperbolic facts for order amidst the turmoil.
