announces succession plan


Kemat - Belgium Polybutenes nv/sa announced in June 2016 the retirement of Mike Mason from day-to-day operations. Mike founded Kemat – Belgium Polybutenes in 1989; in this capacity Mike shall remain on the Board of Directors. The Board has named Simon Mason as his successor.


Mike commented: “This appointment is part of a leadership succession process in preparation for this very day. Simon has the full support of myself and the team. During my 27 years in KEMAT - Belgium Polybutenes, we have built up our expertise in the supply of additives to the lubricants industry, we have expanded over the years to supply a wide range of additives to a diverse customer base. Kemat - Belgium Polibutenes is well positioned for the future, with a powerful sales and service infrastructure with an outstanding product portfolio. I am excited to watch as Simon takes Kemat to new heights.”

About Simon Mason Simon previously served as EMEA Managing Director of the Security Solutions division of Verizon, where he was responsible for leading the organisation’s security professionals and overall Go-to-Market strategy globally. In addition to several leadership roles at Cybertrust, he also held positions at Ubizen and consulting firms AtKearney and EDS. Simon received his Bachelor degree in Economics from the University
