Slicker Recycling, which collects and recycles over 75 million litres of used oil and commercial garage waste every year, has acquired fellow industry specialist, Oil Monster.
Chester-based Oil Monster employs a team of 13 people and operates a fleet of 10 trucks which collects waste oil throughout the UK.
As part of the deal, the business, which Slicker Recycling has acquired from Cleansing Service Group Limited, will retain its brand identity and be led by respected general manager, Lorna Roberts.

laboratories in New Jersey Azelis Americas announces it is opening three new industry-leading application laboratories in Princeton, New Jersey. The new labs will service the Personal Care, Home Care & Industrial Cleaning, and Lubricants & Metal Working Fluids markets. In addition to the application labs, the facility is home to a technical training center.
The labs are focused on meeting customers’ needs by creating new formulations, optimising existing ones, reducing costs while maintaining existing performance characteristics, as well as benchmarking that performance. They will support all stages of the development process for Azelis’ clients, from concept to ingredient review to final formulation. The new site also includes meeting space for customer seminars, formulation workshops, customer technical training, and internal training for sales and support team members.

The acquisition of Oil Monster sees Slicker once again building on its environmental credentials after the 2020 opening of its £70 million base oil re-refinery in Denmark through a joint venture with German partner, Avista AG.
