Succession & Sustainability: A New Perspective
Tina Reading, Media Editor, UKLA
Join Lube and UKLA this October for Lube Media’s Succession & Sustainability: A New Perspective conference, where we will take a forensic and innovative look at the steps we need to take to ensure our industry meets the challenges of the future.
Following our very successful Women in The Lubricants Industry in 2020 and Sustainability Conference in 2022, we are delighted to bring you our third event. A natural successor to where we left off and where we, as an industry, need to focus.
On Succession, the future of our industry will depend on how we attract and retain outstanding talent into the sector whilst providing the right support and opportunities to maximise each individual’s contribution to the success of the organisation. Sustainability is also a critical business strategy aimed at how we maximise opportunities from net zero economies by embracing new technologies, diversifying markets with new products, and engaging new customers, profitably. We will discuss and debate how we can move forward with confidence and compliance, meeting our economic growth objectives, maximise shareholder value, whilst meeting the challenges of an industry at the forefront of market-disrupting change.
Joining us on the day will be Gavin Warner, General Manager Shell Lubricant Solutions. Gavin is focussed on addressing the opportunities and challenges associated with the transition towards a lower carbon and more sustainable Global Lubricants business. Gavin brings his passion and depth of experience in brand marketing, innovation and sustainability leadership. We are delighted that Gavin will be joining us as a key speaker!
James Moorhouse, ABN Resource will be taking the lead in discussing how we attract new diverse talent to
the industry and how we mentor and motivate them. James will also be talking about diversity, inclusion and equality in the workplace. This will be led by a session on equality and inclusivity in the industry.
An insightful day where we will be discussing the wider sustainability of our industry. Companies of all sizes will benefit from existing practice examples and how they can adapt elements into their own strategy. Join us for this and much more, including: • Embedding sustainability across the organisation (Gavin Warner, Shell)
• Recycling and re-refining (Mark Olpin, Slicker Recycling & Vladimir Dhondt, Avista Green)
• Talent acquisition and DEI (James Moorhouse, ABN Resource)
• The power of Positive Communication (Tina Reading, UKLA, Emma Guthrie, IMCD)
• Market Analysis (Yana Wilkinson, Kline)
Taking place on Wednesday 18th October at Leonardo Royal, St Paul’s, Central London with a networking reception in the evening of Tuesday 17th October.
There will be a pre-event registration reception on Tuesday 17th October between 6-8pm, where we warmly invite you to join us for a drink/canapes and informal networking, whilst taking the opportunity of settling into the wonderful accommodation!
