Lubrication, Maintenance and Tribotechnology Conference and Exhibition (LUBMAT 2023) Preston UK (17th – 19th July 2023)


The eighth LUBMAT conference and exhibition will welcome delegates to meet at the academic/ industry interface to discuss research and commercial developments in lubrication, maintenance, and Tribotechnology.


The planned programme is intended as an immersive event with plenary presentations, parallel sessions, student competitions, an exhibition for suppliers, networking activities, refreshments, networking opportunities and evening cuisine all included in the fee.


Plenary presentations, delivered by key experts from industry and academia, will address the following topics: • Lubrication of Threaded Fasteners (Dr William Eccles, Bolt Science)


• Terrestrial Applications of Space Lubrication technologies (Dr Michael Buttery, ESR Technology),


• Environmental and Economic Relevance of Friction (Prof Ian Taylor, UCLan, Formerly Shell Global Solutions)


• The Invention of Tribology (Prof John Williams, University of Cambridge)


• Novel lubricants (Prof Sergei Glavatskih, Royal Technical Institute - Stockholm)


Research student involvement is strongly encouraged and a postgraduate student programme consisting of a Poster Competition and a Three-minute thesis

UNITI Mineral Oil Technology Congress


Specialists of the lube and fuel sector as well as experts of the mechanical engineering and automotive industry meet at the international congress UNITI Mineral Oil Technology Congress to discuss current trends and future developments in the industry.


The topics include the most recent industry trends of lubricants and fuels from research to practical


applications. A get‐together evening offers further possibilities for expert discussions.


The UNITI Mineral Oil Technology Congress will take place at Liederhalle Stuttgart on July 4 and 5.
